Auxiliary Services strives to enhance the daily experience of the University community by providing high quality support services that meet the personal, academic and professional needs of the students, faculty and staff.
- Provides the official UMB Identification Card to Students, Faculty, Staff, and Affiliates of the campus.
- Operates and maintains the Blackboard Transaction system in managing the data and accounts of over 16,000 campus cardholders.
- Each UMB One Cardholder can set up a debit account, deposit funds into the account and use the card for purchases in bookstore, campus food services, vending machines, copiers/printers, laundry machines, and many off-campus vendors. - The One Card can be used to access campus buildings, Library Services, Athletic Center services, and campus parking garages (for payroll deduction parkers only).
- Administers the campus contract with Barnes and Noble College Bookstores for the management of the University Bookstore.
- Provides traditional campus bookstore services, i.e. textbooks, trade books, logo clothing and gift items, etc.
- Supplies all Graduation regalia for Students and Faculty.

- Manages laundry services for students living in campus housing.
- Manages the financial operations of the Bon Appetit Café, the Bon Appetit To Go, and the Bon Appetit Catering Services all of which are located in the SMC Campus Center.
- Auxiliary Services manages the billing for all Bon Appetit Catered events campuswide. Invoices can be paid via the UMB Procurement Card, eUMB Journal Entry, Check, or VISA/Mastercard. All events (with the exception of Student events) in the SMC Campus Center are catered by the Bon Appetit Catering Services.
- Manages contracts with two food service companies: Crema Coffee Cafes in the School of Law and School of Medicine and Jay’s Baltimore Street Café in the Dental School.
- Manage the contracts with Cocoa Cola and Canteen for 88 beverages and snack vending machines located on Campus.
- Report machine breakdowns and reimburse customers for monies lost in machines.
- Provide and manage the operation of Canon copiers/printers in the HSHS Library and Schools of Social Work, Nursing, Dentistry, and Pharmacy. Copies are purchased with the use of the UMB One Card.
- Manage contracts with SECU for the SMC Campus Center ATM and “CASHLESS ATM” for the operation of ATM’s in Dental School, Schools of Law and Nursing.
- Manage the operation of a 52 bed boutique conference center owned by UMB and located in Port Deposit, MD overlooking the Susquehanna River. This beautiful Georgian estate is open 52 weeks a year and provides accommodations, excellent regional cuisine, and conference services to local, state, national, international, and private groups.
